Leo Garments (Pty) Ltd was established in January 1983. The company has grown over the years as a manufacturer and supplier of protective clothing and products for the safety, medical, promotional and uniform industries.

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
The vast experience gained since 1983 in the protective clothing industry has equipped us with technical knowledge which is always sought by the industry in respect of type of protective clothing for specifc environments, material make-up, design of over wear and development of new products. Our product range includes all types of rain wear for adults and children, chemical suits and overalls, shaft sinker suits, waders, blood and fat resistant garments, anoraks, reflective clothing, kidney belts, reflective tapes, air suits and specifc garments as requested by customers.
STAFF
Leo Garments diferentiates itself from other clothing industries in terms of the type of products manufactured. It has a highly specialized team of managers and operators who have vast experience in the protective clothing industry. Leo Garments has a dedicated Design and Development team who are always innovating in terms of product development and new product development. The company has a staff of 90 people in 2010 which is representative of the country's demography.
MACHINERY AND TECHNOLOGY
Leo Garments constantly upgrades its production machines to maximize eiciencies. Regular maintenance is conducted by an on-site mechanic. Specialized machines, such as sealing and welding machines, are used to enhance product quality and adhere to stringent safety regulations. The company also has an eicient internal and external communication structure which is computerized and linked via a main frame server.
CUSTOMER DATA BASE
Leo Garments is a supplier to re-sellers of protective clothing
and related products. The company prides itself in being
associated with some of the predominant role players in the
safety industry.
Leo Garments also supplies industries in the SADC arena and
is seeking to increase this customer data base. The company
also tenders for national orders. It has supplied rainwear to
the South African National Air Force, South African Police
Force and Telkom.
SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING
Leo Garments has a fully equipped on-site training facility and continuously engages in employee development programmes ofered by the CTFL Seta and other training providers. The company also contributes to worker academic improvement programmes by way of study grants.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Leo Garments is always mindful of its corporate social responsibility and has contributed generously to the East Coast Radio's Toy Story campaign over the last few years. Other bene?ciaries include the Cheshire Homes and the Blind society
